Antique Limoges France Teacup Saucer Set Flambeau GDA Dresden Floral Gold Gilt
Limoges
Limoges France Teacup & Saucer Set – Dresden Floral Style with Heavy Gold Gilt (c. 1890-1910) Exquisite antique porcelain teacup and saucer set, crafted in the world-renowned region of Limoges, France. This set showcases a beautiful combination of fine French manufacturing and historic artistry from the turn of the 20th century. Features a vibrant, multi-colored Dresden-style floral bouquet motif, heavily highlighted by a central blooming pink cabbage rose, smaller blue forget-me-nots, purple violets, and yellow accent blossoms.Richly accented with an elegant bright gold-gilt trim along the outer and inner rims of the cup, the cup’s handle, and the border of the saucer. Saucer Backstamp: Features the distinctive early green mark containing the Flambeau Torch / Crest symbol associated with the distributor L.D.B. & Co. (L. Straus & Sons / New York / Limoges factories like Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbot), helping date the porcelain composition between 1890 and 1910. Teacup Backstamp: Features the authentic circular green LIMOGES FRANCE decorator's backstamp. Because the stamps do not match this may be a marriage set. Excellent antique condition. No visible chips, cracks, structural repairs, or crazing. The porcelain retains a beautiful translucent quality. There is minor, age-appropriate surface shelf wear to the underside base rings and minimal thinning to the gold trim accent lines. These were my great grandmother's, she had excellent taste. From a non-smoking home.
