Description
This really is incredible! Arts & Crafts era Heintz Art Metal Shop vase with sterling silver California Poppy overlay on bronze. Marked 3809A, Sterling on Bronze, and patent dated Aug. 27, 1912. Large cabinet-size form measuring 12⅜ tall and weighing 2 lbs 12 oz. Retains original silver-gray mottled finish, commonly identified as French Gray, with crisp textured surface and strong contrast to the sterling overlay. Condition Notes: Very good antique condition. Finish is well preserved with wear mainly at the base contact ring. Sterling overlay remains crisp. Has 2–3 very light dings and a very slight rim irregularity/flat spot visible under close inspection (they don't photograph well; very hard to see). Minor interior oxidation from age/use. No major dents or repairs observed. Seller Note: Please review photos carefully; they are part of the description.
